My name is Lisa Giacometti, I grew up in Flushing, Queens and went to Farmingdale State College. I graduated in 1997 with an Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene. I have been a dental hygienist for 27 years, and I absolutely love what I do! Helping people take care of their teeth is my passion. I began working in the dental field at the age of 15 in a periodontal office in Flushing, Queens as a dental assistant and receptionist. This is where I aspired to become a dental hygienist. While I was attending hygiene school, I worked in a general practice office in Bayside, Queens, as a dental assistant, and I was cross-trained at the front desk. I continued working in that same office as a Dental Hygienist until my family and I moved to Long Island.
I am married and have two great adult children. Giancarlo is 22 years old and graduated from Farmingdale State College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. Giancarlo will be working for an accounting firm while attending Old Westbury to complete his accounting degree. Giuliana is 18 years old and attended the cosmetology program at Boces GC TECH while in high school. Giuliana graduated with a certificate in cosmetology and a high school diploma. Giuliana is working as a part time assistant at a local hair bar while she awaits her results from her state board exams.
My family and I moved out to Long Island when my oldest, Giancarlo, was 5 years old, and I love being part of a warm, friendly and compassionate community. I have over 16 years of volunteering for the Wantagh School District and community. I have volunteered for my children’s school through the parent organizations at Wantagh Elementary PTA. I was 1st Vice President, in charge of Committees for 4 years, and then Co-President of the PTA for 2 years while my children attended Wantagh Elementary School. Once my youngest, Giulana, entered high school, I became Co-President of the Wantagh Sports Booster Club for 4 years. While my children were in primary school, I continued to work part-time, then full-time once Giuliana entered the secondary level.
In my free time, I love spending time with my family. We have a home in the country and visit a few times a year just to get away and catch up with each other. We also enjoy the summer months on the water with our jet skis. I also love to craft, bake, and read. I am part of a monthly book club with my friends, and we read mostly historical fiction and psychological thriller books.
I have worked with Dr. Moskowitz at the Roslyn Dental Group for 16 years, and I am excited to give my career my full attention by learning the new technology provided to me by Enso Dental Arts. I look forward to expanding and growing in my career and to giving back even more to the community doing what I love to do. I am looking forward to working at Enso Dental Arts for a long time and starting this new, exciting chapter of my life.
